ZIETA STUDIO
Zieta Studio is a brand established in 2010 by Oskar Zięta – an architect and innovator, winner of many prestigious awards in the field of design.
It is a family-run design studio with an interdisciplinary team of architects, designers and engineers. It specializes in technologically advanced collectable objects for private and public spaces.
Zieta Studio’s collections of metal seatings (PLOPP, Chippensteel 0.5, J-Chair), mirrors (RONDO, TAFLA, OKO), tables (G-Table, G-Console) and accessories (PIN, KAMM, Triglav) are manufactured using the innovative FiDU technology of free deformation.
In this process called “a controlled loss of control”, Zieta Studio experiments with forms and qualities of various metals.
It creates objects that balance on the verge of aesthetics and function, furniture and decorative home sculptures that redefine the qualities of steel, aluminium and copper, showing the transformative potential of technology.
Bespoke collections such as Gradient, Heat and Transitions are designed for people who value not only the artistic aspect of design but also look for objects created as a result of extensive research and experimenting.

Zieta Studio is a multidisciplinary team of architects, designers, engineers and technologists. We design processes, whose outcomes are out-of-ordinary and uncompromising collections of fabulous abstract objects, public sculptures and functional collectable forms that deceive senses with their unusual shapes and qualities.
Extensive research and experiments with metals lead us to achieve unpredictable results and uncover forms that are real but out of this world.
At Zieta we aim to create objects with the best possible synergy between design and technology. Inflated steel furniture, mirrors and accessories are made with FiDU technology – our original patented method of transforming metal sheets into tridimensional objects.

HISTORY
Zieta Studio was established in 2010 by Oskar Zięta. It was also the year when he introduced his first object to the market. It was the PLOPP stool that had already been awarded the Red Dot Design Award 2008, the German Design Council Award 2008 and the Forum AID Award 2009.
The main focus of his thesis was the input of computer-controlled machines in the processing of metal sheets in architecture and design. During his research at the ETH, Zięta developed different methods of enhancing the efficiency of technology for steel design, architecture and construction.
The main topic was the use of steel sheets as a construction element – cheap, easy to shape and efficient.
The problem with steel sheets is stability – the work was focused on how to reach the desired stability of steel sheets to be able to use them as construction elements. Many different technologies were developed – among others, FIDU technology.
During the first years of operating Zieta Collection was gradually created – it included furniture and accessories designed by Oskar to the date: the standard, mini and kitchen PLOPP (2006- 2009), Chippensteel 0.5 (2009), Chippensteel 1.0 limited edition (2006), RONDO mirror (2009), PIN and KAMM hangers (2009), RONDEL (2009). Later on, other collections followed: Copper, Heat, Gradient and Transitions Collections.

Zieta Studio employs more than 50 people The team is interdisciplinary and focused on finding solutions. To complex problems from the field of technology, engineering and design.
The staff works in the Wrocław offices and in the production department in Zielona Góra, in groups specializing in designing, creative processes, engineering, architecture, PR & marketing, as well as sales and customer service.
