We are a medium-sized industrial company for energy-saving hot water appliances from the northern German Hanseatic city of Lüneburg. More than 290 employees are responsible for development, design, production and sales of the energy-efficient devices with high quality standards. All under one roof!
2017-WE ARE TOP 100
In June 2017, CLAGE was awarded the Top 100 seal by science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar and is now one of the Top 100 most innovative companies.
The competition uses a demanding selection procedure to assess the innovation potential of German medium-sized companies. Among other things, the innovation success, the innovation climate, the organization, the external orientation and the management are evaluated.
EXPERT
As a specialist for decentralised hot water supply, we offer a wide range of products with many individual solutions. From A for air hand dryer to Z for Zip water systems – everything has to do with hot water. As market leader for instantaneous water heaters, we are constantly looking with great commitment for new solutions and innovations in all areas of decentralised water heating.
For this we have been awarded as an ambassador for innovation by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
EFFICIENCY
The “E” in our name, CLAGE, is accentuated, because “E” stands for efficiency. But what do we understand by this and how do you benefit from it? Much even: A large product range of energy-efficient devices, which are characterized by clever technology, small and compact design, as well as clear and robust construction.
A corresponding way of working is also part of it. Our customers feel the "short distances" to our competent and trained employees.

This includes a high degree of flexibility in order to develop individual solutions. And we pursue many goals: Saving energy and water, comfort, hygiene, durable products, easy installation and operation, fast and good service. Smart technology is a prerequisite.
SUSTAINABILITY
The process up to the finished product can be described as extremely sustainable and is continuously put to the test.
We work in accordance with the ISO 14001 environmental management standard, and we go one step further, because we pay attention to the highest material efficiency. The units are designed in such a way that many parts such as heating cartridges can be replaced.
This reduces waste and increases the service life of the products. When we work with service providers, these are preferably local partners. This also protects the environment.
QUALITY SINCE 1951
"Finally and immediately warm water" is what many of our customers have been saying for several decades. As early as 1951, Claus-Holmer Gerdes began selling small instantaneous water heaters. Today, we are a second-generation owner-managed industrial company.

Since our company was founded in 1951, we have been the specialist for decentralised hot water supply "Made in Germany". In our company history of more than 65 years there are numerous milestones which we would like to present in this history.

QUALITY GUIDELINE
In order to ensure customer satisfaction at all times, all processes are constantly reviewed and optimized. We achieve this through innovative and groundbreaking technical products.
Competitive prices, 100% defect-free work through process reliability and continuous workflow and product optimization through regular monitoring are basic requirements in our company.
MANAGEMENT
Added to this are the quality responsibility of each individual employee and environmental awareness in all areas. The existing quality management system in accordance with the international standard documents the operational processes and ensures compliance with them.
Methods, processes, personnel and machines are used to implement the quality objectives and company guidelines. All relevant standards and regulations are taken into account and complied with.
PRIORITY
Hygiene is a top priority at CLAGE. In December 2017, the internationally renowned Institute for Hygiene and Microbiology. Dr. Brill Partner, certified us and confirmed that the production of our instantaneous water heaters meets the hygienic requirements of the German Drinking Water Ordinance (Trinkwasserverordnung).
Regular microbiological examinations, competent staff training and the use of continuously controlled and disinfected water are just some of the many measures taken.
ENVIRONMENT GUIDELINE
Protecting the environment is an obligation for CLAGE GmbH towards customers, fellow human beings and future generations. The company's environmental management is certified according to the high requirements of the environmental guideline DIN EN ISO 14001:2015.
ENVIRONMENT
Through the active participation of management and employees, the company contributes to the sustainable development of corporate environmental protection at the Lüneburg site.
Successful environmental protection can only be achieved through the environmental awareness of all employees. For example, employees are informed about environmentally compatible behaviour in the workplace in internal quality audits. Operational processes are viewed holistically, analysed and continuously improved.
RAW MATERIALS
When procuring raw materials and auxiliary materials for the production of energy-efficient instantaneous water heaters. CLAGE takes ecological criteria into account as far as possible and economically justifiable. For example, preference is given to suppliers who attach similar importance to environmental protection as the company itself.
FUTURE-ORIENTED COMPANY
As a future-oriented company, CLAGE GmbH cultivates partnership, cooperation and dialogue with all parties involved in environmental protection on its own responsibility and on a voluntary basis.
CERTIFIED
The German "Zentralverband Sanitär Heizung Klima" (ZVSHK) has certified CLAGE with its quality mark in Germany. This award certifies on the one hand the high product quality of the instantaneous water heaters, storage tanks, fittings and hand dryers, and on the other hand the special performance in terms of safety and service.
Customers thus receive manufacturer-independent, neutral support for purchasing decisions in the SHK product segment.
